Program OverviewIndigenous peoples of Idaho have been practicing
science since time immemorial. We seek applicants with
teaching experience, who serve in regions of the
Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and are interested in
diversifying their approaches to STEM curricular
integration in partnership with tribal and university
educators. Cultivating Relationships 1 year intensive
learning process that pairs practicing teachers with tribal
and university leaders from STEM and education fields to
examine the relationships between people and their
place. Teachers will participate in the design and
application of meaningful place-based STEM curriculum
for learners in K-12 context.
